    These are great

I installed these emporia current monitors to see how the energy use in my home was distributed. I also wanted to get a baseline before I installed a heat pump water heater to replace my aging hot water tank to see the difference. So far a few months in and I have some excellent data. I found while the washing machine only uses 150 watts per cycle, the hot water used is almost 1200 watts! Turns out I really could use that heat pump water heater. I’ve also identified some minor lifestyle and appliance use changes that are now saving us around 4kwh a day. Seems to correlate nearly exactly with the meter outside. Can’t reccomend enough. Also rise has all the best new stuff for your home, if you are DIY and don’t know what’s new and cutting edge just look around here and learn and get yourself sorted.
