Blackwood and Ash Shou Sugi Ban Kimo Coal Wood Siding Sample Pack
Yakisugi, or Shou Sugi Ban as it's referred to in North America, is a traditional Japanese method of preserving and weatherproofing wood siding by charring it on one side.
Blackwood Ash Inc. specializes in manufacturing Shou Sugi Ban - they mill and create a variety of textures and finishes from ethically sourced wood and with environmentally-friendly finishes.
All of their Shou Sugi Ban sidings come charred on one side and prefinished with two coats of sealer on the face and one coat on the back to help protect the char layer and the structural integrity of the wood by limiting water/moisture penetration. Blackwood and Ash use VOC-free finishes for all their Shou Sugi Ban siding.
The Rise Kimo Coal Sample Pack includes a 6x6 inch double pack of one of Blackwood and Ash's most popular Shou Sugi Ban finishes. An ideal tool to help plan how Blackwood and Ash's Shou Sugi Ban Siding can be included in your next build, renovation, or retrofit.
