OrganoWood® 01 Protection: Flame and rot protection is a water-based wood preservative product that consists of silicon minerals and natural plant substances. The treated timber receives protection against rot attack and adds flame-protective properties.

The product is colourless and does not noticeably alter the colour of wood immediately after application. It can be used for surface treatment of virtually all pressure-impregnated and untreated wood. For pressure-impregnated wood, the effect lasts for up to 10 years. Treated surfaces are diffusion-open.

Application

The product can be used for surface treatment of virtually all untreated and pressure impregnated timber with few exceptions. The treatment works well on absorbing woods such as pine and spruce. Use of the product on wood with a low absorption capacity can result in a short-term colour change. Together with OrganoWood® 02. Repellent: Dirt and water repellent creates a complete wood preservative system that further extends the life of the wood, counteracts moisture damage and superficial growth. OrganoWood® 01. Protection should be used on a cut face, holes and other minor processing when installing OrganoWood® or on other species of wood/processing of wood for outdoor use.

OrganoWood® 01. Protection: Flame and rot protection contains only substances that can be returned to the natural cycle. The product is eco-labelled “Good Environmental Choice”, environmentally classified B by SundaHus and recommended by Byggvarubedömningen and BASTA. All substances in the product are classified as harmless for the environment according to the Swedish National Chemicals Inspectorate.
